The path to becoming a parent is often described as one of life’s most meaningful transitions. Yet it can also be one of the most emotionally complex. Whether you are trying to conceive, are currently pregnant, or adjusting to life after birth, you may find yourself navigating a wide range of emotions and unexpected challenges.
My name is Erin Flora, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in supporting women through the emotional and psychological shifts that accompany the journey into parenthood. Many of the individuals I work with are seeking help with anxiety, depression, fertility challenges, perinatal grief and loss, traumatic birth experiences, identity changes, relational issues, or a general sense of overwhelm and disconnection. If you are feeling unsure of yourself, noticing changes in mood, or are simply needing space to process this season of life, you are not alone, and I am here to help you navigate it.
In my practice, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I integrate these approaches with a trauma-informed lens to create a safe, trusting, and empowering space where we can explore your experiences. Together, we can work on shifting unhelpful thought patterns, building emotional resilience, and reconnecting with what matters most to you.
I see parenthood as a profound shift that can hold both joy and difficulty. My role is to offer a space where all of that can be held with care. I aim to support my clients in feeling understood, grounded, and empowered as they move through the complexities of this season. I trust in each person’s inner capacity to adapt and grow, and I work to create a space where that growth feels possible — even when things feel heavy or unclear. It is a privilege to walk alongside someone as they find their footing and reconnect with themselves in a new way. I would be honored to support you, whatever stage you are in.
Outside of my clinical work, I find joy in being outdoors, spending time cooking and discovering new recipes, enjoying live music and comedy, and relaxing at home with my cat, Rosie.
