What to Expect During Sessions

Sessions generally last 50 minutes.  Extended sessions lasting 90 minutes may be needed specifically for EMDR sessions.  As we begin our work together, we will explore what your personal hopes and goals are as you invest in yourself. We will explore the frequency of sessions together in order to best meet your needs. Therapy can be short-term and solution-focused or can become a longer process of deeper healing and growth.

   Investment

We currently accept the below insurances:

✔ CDPHP (Not able to accept Medicaid)
✔ Highmark Blue shield of Northeastern NY

Private pay fees vary per therapist per  session ranging from $120 to $175 per session.

If your plan covers 'out-of-network' services (usually PPO plans), you might get back part of our fee. We provide the paperwork (a superbill) you need for your insurance claim.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, You have the right to receive “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
